1. Overview
Glotrade provides flexible currency options for our local and international customers to ensure a convenient shopping experience. This policy explains the currencies accepted and how transactions are handled across borders.
2. Accepted Transaction Currencies
We primarily accept the following currencies:
- Nigerian Naira (₦): Default and primary currency for all local transactions in Nigeria.
- US Dollar (USD): Accepted for international payments made through supported cards and gateways.
- British Pound (GBP) and Euro (EUR): May be accepted depending on the customer’s card issuer and payment processor.
3. Currency Display and Conversion
- All product prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira (₦) by default on the website.
- If you are paying with a non-Naira card, your bank or payment provider will convert the amount into your local currency using the applicable exchange rate.
- Exchange rates and conversion fees are determined by your bank or card issuer, not Glotrade.
4. International Payments
- Customers paying from outside Nigeria may be billed in USD, GBP, or EUR depending on the currency support of the payment gateway (e.g., Paystack, Flutterwave).
- Some international banks may apply foreign transaction charges or exchange rate markups. Please check with your provider.
5. Refunds in Foreign Currencies
- Refunds for international payments are processed in Nigerian Naira (₦) using the original exchange rate at the time of transaction, where applicable.
- Due to currency fluctuations, the refunded amount in your local currency may vary slightly.
- Glotrade is not responsible for any discrepancies caused by third-party conversion rates or bank fees.
6. Crypto and Alternative Currencies
At this time, Glotrade does not accept cryptocurrency or other alternative currencies. All payments must be made using traditional fiat currencies supported by our gateways.
